In the summer of 2022, The Traveling Pony brand was created. It began initially as a way for me to connect with the equestrian community, creating media and a podcast that focused on interviewing prominent figures in the industry before expanding in June of 2023 to become a studio that showcases all of my crochet pieces.
Anyone in the equestrian community can agree…Horses aren’t cheap, and they are full of trouble! Podcasting and writing blogs became an outlet for my feelings and the struggles I faced stepping into this industry, starting to run a business, and maturing. It allowed me to connect with people and have open, honest discussions about questions people might not have the courage to ask.
After going through my horse's surgery, alongside other road bumps along the way, I created a branch of The Traveling Pony, ‘Traveling Pony Studios.’ Initially, it started as a small shop where I sold polymer clay jewelry before expanding into crochet pieces, where I found my new passion. Creating unique pieces that bring a smile to people’s faces fills my heart. Whether it’s a young child getting their first lovey, or an adult getting a flower bouquet or memorial piece of something they love, I consider the opportunity to create these pieces a blessing.
